I am a third-generation metalsmith working with steel, copper, and fire as both material and process. My practice is rooted in techniques passed down through my father and grandfather, developed through a lifetime in the metal shop where I learned our proprietary oxidation and patina methods.

I work primarily with reclaimed steel, often incorporating hand-flamed copper, allowing the materials’ history and natural variation to shape each piece. 

My sculptural fire pits exist as fully usable objects while standing as independent works of art. Fire completes the work, activating the metal and transforming it into a gathering point that invites connection.

From my studio in Colorado Springs, I create heirloom-quality fire art that honors traditional craftsmanship while engaging contemporary spaces.
